Cumin

One natural ingredient that is often overlooked when it comes to great health benefits is the seed Cumin.

Humans for have used cumin as long as we can remember and has some great health and medical benefits that have been known for centuries.

The seed is a small flowering herb of the parsley family and is still used everyday by professional chefs around the world.

This traditions herbal remedy has many benefits and uses.

Firstly, it is often used as a stimulant that has had great effects on digestive disorders. Some of theses include flatulence, diarrhea, nausea, indigestion, atomic dyspepsia and morning sickness.

But secondly it has also been known to help boost the power of the liver and its ability to detoxify the human body.

The seeds themselves are rich in iron and can often help stimulate the secretion of enzymes form the pancreas, to allow it to absorb more nutrients in o the body’s system.

As well as assisting in these major health problems, it also lends its hand for general issues like the fu and the common cold.

Cumin is said to relieve common cold symptoms due to its antiseptic properties.

The best way to digest cumin is to boil the seeds in water to make a tea. You are then encouraged to drink it a couple of times a day. Adding ginger and coriander juice is also known to help the relief symptoms.

Alternatively, if you do not like drinking tea, or would rather take the seed orally through food, there are many ways to have it.

Adding it to soups and other thick pastes are quite common, as too is throwing a bit on steak and other meats.

For general health use, Cumin is known to be great, so having it daily in whatever form is only going to be good for your health.
