Get your taste buds sizzling and your muscles growing with this excellent, classic combination.
What you will need:
500 grams lamb tenderloins or backstraps
Salt and pepper
1 ½ tablespoon chilli sauce
3 tablespoons fish sauce
3 limes cut into wedges
1 ½ green chillies, chopped
1 Spanish onion
¾ cup chopped coriander
1 carrot peeled and grated
1 head of lettuce, leaves separated, washed and dried
Warm up a large fry pan, and season the lamb with the salt and pepper. Put it in the pan and cook it, ensuring it remains tender. Put it to one side.
Mix the chilli and fish sauces and the juice of one lime in a small saucepan, keeping the heat low.
Now go back to the lamb, and slice it thinly. Drizzle half of the newly made sauce over it.
Put the lettuce leaves on plates and put the meat inside them. You can choose to wrap them or leave them open.
Use the other ingredients to sprinkle on top of the meat, and then you can wrap the lettuce leaves around or just eat them open.
